"I really enjoyed working at the Orchard and was quite sad when i had to leave after 9 weeks (due to family issues). I found the work hard to begin with as we were not nearing our piece meal targets and were given a lot of poor quality rows to pick from (3 buckets from 9 rows one time in a group of 3), but as the season got on and i got more used to the work it became a lot easier and just before i left i was able to pick 11 buckets between 2 of us, which i felt very proud of and a stong sense of achivement. The staff were also all very friendly and supportive and they organised bbqs and would sometimes join us for drinks. It was a bit difficult being quite far from the town without a car because the internet access on the farm was quite poor and it would usually take about half a hour to bring up an email but we generally made 2 trips a week and that was enough for me, i got a guitar from the music store and rented videos now and then but most the entertainment was with the other travellers, most people were good fun and i keep in contact with a lot of the people i worked there with. I think the best part though was the lifestyle, working outside in the fresh air, getting fit; both working and exercising after work on the gym area that was there, the fresh fruit and good meals i(more...) |

Working in Manjimup was great! The deal there was fair but strict: If you worked well, you got special jobs and better payment. If you didn't perform as they wanted you got kicked out. Accomodation was perfect and the crew was nice! I really enjoyed working in there!" |

"I did a vine pruning job for 1 month in Carnarvon. The onsite accommodation was nice and clean with a lot of space. The first day at work was hard but me and my workmate improved quickly Ð so had a lot of fun, good money and enjoyed the job! Sure there was not just workÉ Great parties and trips at the weekend made this time unforgettable for me!
In this month I made a lot of new friends, good experiences, I saw beautiful beaches and the real Australia during an amazing camping trip! Thanks to the crew of Go Workabout, who were always present Ð at work, at the trips, at the parties!" |

He invited us to dinner in his own house, and he presented us all his family, even his cute baby kangaroo!! really, he has one, she's wonderfull, I gave her milk and made lot of kisses it was the best Australian experience for the moment!!!
